Rhody, an affectionate nickname for the rhododendron plant, holds a heartfelt tribute to Ethan's parents, who owned and operated nursery and landscaping businesses in Oregon, specializing in their cultivation and use.
Although Ethan initially pursued a different path, working as a chef in New York City and Portland's restaurant scenes, he eventually returned to his roots.
